Our instructor has been teaching us dances from your ratings list for about 1 year. Last week we went to a dance 200 miles from home and we danced for 2 AND 1/2 hours straight!! I liked to watch them both dance....my goodness, can Carol ever spin.......and Bucky....welllllllll that's another story......the first time dancing with him was quite an experience....up and down and all around.....AND HE NEVER MISSED A BEAT!!
Bucky was a hoot to be around!!! What fun we had....I did a video of him one night at the Round Up and I will treasure it always.
I'm sorry for those who didn't have an opportunity to meet Bucky and for those of us who did we will never forget his SMILE his STYLE and his number one dance partner Carol.

Hey clogging was only bluegrass and country years ago but it changed to other types of music and is still around. It also went from 64 beats to sequences, bridges and tags.

We just moved to FL about 3 months ago. We have visited a couple of the Orlando clubs. It has been terrible for me. I have been line dancing for 13 years. I have danced in CA, WA, OR & CO and have only seen TWO dances here that they do the same as I know them! I have to start learning all over again. It wouldn't be quite so bad if the clubs didn't have those bright colored lights moving and flashing all over the floor. It is very hard to catch on to new dances with all that going on. I also have a problem with head tremors and the lights may be having a huge affect. Anyway, one of the locals told me about your web site. She is a good dancer and knows a lot of dances but doesn't remember the names of most of them. Is there a way to get a list of the popular dances that are actually being done regularly in the Orlando area? I certainly would appreciate it if anybody could help me out. It is impossible to look online to find dance steps if you don't know the names of the dances. There are waaaay to many to look through. I did send an email to one of the local dance teachers who said he would send me some, but he has not. Thanks for the great web site! It looks like you have put in a lot of hard work and research.

I am saying daily prayers for Bucky. My husband, son and I were in a terrible car accident back in 1992. My husband almost didn't make it. We were both 30 and our son was 3.
We had our accident on a Saturday. That day my husband Luke was in critical condition. By the next Friday he was out of the hospital.
He had internal injuries and had to have emergency surgery.
Keep up the faith. It sound like your husband was in good shape before the accident. That will help a lot when it comes to healing.

Just wanted to say that i have about 20 kids at my class in a small rural town in NSW Australia, ranging from 8 - 15 yrs, they have seen me and my sister compete and cant wait to start training, i also coach 7 kids from another nearby town and i've taught a 5 yr old how to spin a cowboy hat, kids are the future and i'm glad i can inspire them to dance. Being only 22 myself they look up to me and constantly tease me about my bad dress sense, but hey all in good fun, they just love dancing and i love teaching them. You guys might see them in a few years all trained up and ready to compete!
A great dance they love is Sunshine Express (becuase it gets faster) to wild and free by rednex, and 1,2 step and mars attacks - they are their 3 favourite dances.

I am from Atlanta and have just attended the Tampa event for the first time. Wow is all I can say. This event is not too small and not too large. It's fun for beginners, intermediates and advanced dancers. The instructors seem to take more time to be personable with attendees. I especially liked how Olivia conducts herself as a DJ. She is receptive to all dancers and tries to accommodate all dancers.

I teach linedancing once a week, for a combination of seniors and the younger crowd. We are in Oklahoma and do most of our dancing in Kansas.
