NAME: Jackie Phillips
Way back when there was a "Boogie, Woogie Boot Camp", a
couple of us first timers decided to give it a go. Of course I wound
up on the floor next to "the man". That night the girls
and I talked about the "wierdo in the old hat" and decided
we should stay way far away from him.. We started going to more and
more dance venues and he seemed to be at all of them..Then some one
hooked me up with the Tkandar newsletter.. After awhile I started
thinking and said to one of the girls, "wouldn't it be funny
if that wierd man was married to the serious lady that does that newsletter?".
We laughed and laughed at the thought.. Guess what we found out a
few months later? Should have played the lottery that night.. But
I didn't win the money but I sure did gain a heck of a lot of great
friends and memories..Would give anything to be able to have 1/10
the amount of memories that most of you have. I will miss you Bucky..
Love you Carol!, Jackie |

NAME: Dottie Smith
Hi Carol
I met you both at Rhinstones in Burlington vt. He would try to teach
us new dances in the hall while the easy classes were going on in
the main dance room. I'll miss him as a dancer and friend. Dottie |

Before Bucky and Carol moved to Florida, they had an auction to sell
some household items. It was not a high $$ sale but certainly was
one of my most entertaining one. In the middle of the sale Carol twirled
her baton to ensure the crowd that it still worked and towards the
end as I was selling a riding lawn mower, I asked Bucky if it had
a bagger? He yelled out to the crowd, "No my wife doesn't go
with it.
It was after this sale that the port-a-let was moved to another house.

I had the pleasure of meeting and dancing with Bucky for the first
time at JG2 and then round up where i had a great time having a giggle
and dancing with Bucky and his friends. He also was able to maintain
a smile still when i was sick in his car on the way back from round
up! sorry again Carol :) I did manage to get most of it in my hand
bag though! I think i was forgiven as Bucky still gave me a lift to
the airport a few days later hehe. Some people have the abilty to
leave footprints on others lives and i believe Bucky is one of those
characters whose amazing enery, charisma and smile will stay with
you always. He is someone i will never forget and his wacky t shirts
and hat!! which i thought were great. I am so glad i had the pleasure
of meeting him and his lovely wife Carol. For all the people who knew
Bucky may you all have a Harvest of moments, memories and good times.
You will be greatly missed. All my love curly Hannah (nest) |

NAME: Julie Mossa
While I was living in Burlington, Vermont, I met Bucky and Carol line
dancing - what a blessing and what fun!. About a year later, I made
plans to join my boyfriend, Ben, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Ben flew
to Burlington to arrange for my relocation to Santa Fe and joined
Bucky, Carol and the gang at our dance club for my going away party.
While we were there, the announcer told the crowd that I was leaving
for Santa Fe and whoever had keys to my house needed to return them
as my boyfriend was there to round me up. Much to our surprise, 30
- 40 guys brought their keys on stage. What a joke - leaving my boyfriend
wondering !?! Of course, this set up was orchestrated by Bucky and
his crazy antics still brings me a smile. Although I haven't seen
Bucky since that night, I loved his foot-stomping good humor and will
miss his boundless energy and good spirit.

I met Bucky & Carol in February 2005 when I and my son, Jon, visited
Florida for a couple of weeks. Our visit coincided with the Stampede
in Orlando and my son was dragged along [!]. I wanted to remember
our visit forever so I bought a 2005 dolphin T-shirt from the shop
in our hotel and asked everyone I met to sign it. Bucky has pride
of place as "King Bucky" and we'll never forget him. Reckon
he'll always be there, dancing with us. |

The first time I saw Bucky was when he showed up to one of Guyton's
classes a few years ago. He was wearing a shirt that said, "Mr.
Mundy" on the back and "Guyton's daddy" on the front.
He was wearing fake buck teeth, saggy pants and his baseball hat on
sideways. He cracked Guyton up. I really thought Bucky was Guyton's
dad. He called him Bucky and I thought, "Wow, Guyton calls his
dad by his name." Then I saw him dance and realized that he wasn't
just a quirky guy but actually a really talented dancer. I didn't
know him well but realize what a charasmatic and fun loving guy he
must have been. I wish I could have gotten to know him better. |

NAME: Jeanette Brush
When the Craven family first came to Vermont, Bucky had a German Shepard
named Miss C. She was big, beautiful and sleek, and Bucky was very
proud of his manly dog. I remember being a little intimidated by her
when we first met. She, like all of his other animals, could talk.
He'd take her massive head in his hands, get down nose-to-nose with
her and say, Miss C, I love you. I love you. After a while Miss C
would kind of moan three times, and Bucky swore that she was saying
I love you, back to him.
But Bucky's killer dog had a side to her that he never wanted people
to see. He always portrayed her as a strong massive beast, but the
fact of the matter was if you would get her out in the sun or under
a light where there was a shadow, you could wave your hand over
her and say, Miss C, shadow, and she'd spend as long as you could
hold yourself upright from laughing chasing the shadow on the floor.
You could wiggle your fingers and she would jump on top of like
she had it under her paws, and then you'd move it ever so slightly,
and she'd jump on top of it again. So any time Bucky would get a
little too full of himself, or if Carol wanted to knock him down
a peg or two, she'd just say Miss C, shadow, and Bucky would immediately
be at her mercy. |
